- IMPRESSIONS - you make an impression when your page/product listing is seen in search results. Typically this requires ranking as high up as possible on page 1 of search results for multiple keyword terms that people use, since most people would look at the top few search results and hardly anyone bothers to scroll very far down or click beyond the first page. Amazon, whenever your listing appears on the screen of a shopper, it is considered an impression.
- CLICKS (SESSIONS): Attract “scrollers” to click through from search results. Measured by number of clicks and click-through rate (CTR) = clicks/impressions.
- CONVERSIONS: Move viewers to buyers Measured by conversion rate = sales/sessions
