Helium 10 isn't just one Amazon Seller Tool. Magnet 2 and Cerebro are two of my favourite tools. I use them for all my keyword research.
Magnet
Magnet is a keyword research tool, similar to Viral Launch's (VL) Keyword Discovery or Merchant Words. Version 2 is a much improved version from version 1, which was already a much more useful and reliable tool compared to Merchant Words. Fyi, both H10 and VL's keyword research tools are much more intelligent than Merchant Words, which provides really limited suggestions and search volume that's so inaccurate, it's unusable.
Both Helium 10's Magnet 2 and Viral Launch's Keyword Discovery produce excellent keyword suggestions with accurate Exact Search Volume. This vital data is extremely useful because:
Cerebro
Cerebro is a Reverse ASIN keyword research tool. You simply copy and paste any Amazon listing's ASIN into Cerebro and hit the "Reverse Search" button. Cerebro returns a list of the keyword search terms the selected ASIN is indexed for and associated information as described in the description of Magnet 2 above.
Using Magnet 2 and Cerebro enables you to find the best keywords to target. It's tremendously powerful. Just last month, I used these 2 tools to discover a handful of search terms with good search volume and low competition for a listing. Simply adding 1 of these keywords found in the tools (with a monthly exact search volume of 3000+) in the product title led to the listing jumping from position 19 (which is #3 on page 2) to position 4 on page 1. This led to a 3x increase in monthly sales from 125 units/month to 380 units/month.
The key is to use these two Helium 10 tools to find keyword phrases, then drive traffic and sales that are attributed to these keywords. This is done:

- It suggests related keyword search terms that Amazon customers are actually using - This is very powerful as it often reveals search terms we might have not though of that should be targeted and included in our listing title, bullet points, or description.
- The exact search volume - This indicates demand, which is an essential piece of data.
- The number of competitors that have the search terms indexed in their listing - This gives an indication of the level of competition when it comes to ranking organically.
- The number of Sponsored Ads and Headline Search Ads that are targeting the exact search term - This gives us an indication of the level of competition for Amazon PPC ads.
- CPR Total and Daily Giveaways - A calculation of the number of units sales attributed to a specific keyword search term that need to be sold to rank on page 1 of Amazon search results for that search term.

Keyword Tracker is one of my favourite and most used tools in the Helium 10 suite. In fact it's always on, tracking my listing's search results ranking for keywords I'm targeting to rank for.
I use it in conjunction with Magnet 2 and Cerebro. Here's how:

I use it in conjunction with Magnet 2 and Cerebro. Here's how:
- Use Magnet 2 and Cerebro to compile a shortlist of the keyword search terms I want to target for my listings. These are the keyword phrases I want to rank well for - essentially aiming to get on page 1 of the search results for each search term, and preferably in the top 5 on page 1.
- Put these terms into Keyword Tracker - Once a search term is added to Keyword Tracker, its search results rank is tracked daily. You can also add notes to any date. This helps me to observe the daily changes in rank and track the impact that changes to a product title, or running an Ad targeting a particular search term might make so I know what optimisations work, what don't, and therefore can focus on maximizing what's working and dropping what doesn't.
- I also like to go after multiple low search volume/low competition search terms as these are easy to rank well for and it is often easy to get an "Amazon's Choice" badge after just a few sales attributed to these keywords with very low competition.
Xray
Helium 10 Xray is the equivalent of Viral Launch Market Intelligence and the Jungle Scout Chrome Extension tools.
All three are best used on an Amazon search results page to quickly check the vital data of all the listings on the page (typically page 1 of results for a search term). This is what savvy sellers use to analyze the estimated 30 day unit sales; total sales revenue; FBA fees and profit margin; and the number of reviews, which is an indicator of the strength of the competition. All this info helps you to get an initial idea of whether a product has high enough sales and low enough competition to investigate further as a potential private label product.
I prefer Xray to Market Intelligence and Jungle Scout. Here' why:

- Xray vs Market Intelligence - Xray provides similarly accurate sales estimates as both are based on an average of 30 day best seller rank (BSR) history. But I prefer and use Xray most of the time because it is much faster - think 3 seconds vs waiting 20-30 seconds.
- Xray vs Jungle Scout Chrome Extension - Both tools return results at similarly fast speed. However Xray is much more accurate as it uses 30 day BSR history to calculate estimated 30 day sales. Jungle Scout is less accurate as it only looks at the BSR at the moment of the search and extrapolates that to estimate 30 day sales. However BSR is update hourly and can fluctuate with quite a lot of volatility, so estimating 30 day sales based on a moment's BSR is far less accurate. I've tested all three tools against my own listings where I know my actual 30 day sales - Jungle Scout sales estimates can be 20% to 50% off the actual figures. Xray and Market Intelligence usually have a variance of just 10% to 12% from the actual sales.
