How to Sell on Amazon.com from Anywhere in the World
The aim of the training is to help sellers:
- Gain a good, practical understanding of the Amazon marketplace.
- Start and scale a business using Amazon as a sales channel.
- Do the above while minimising risks and maximising returns.
What is Amazon Seller Live Training?
Amazon Seller Live Training is an opportunity to learn how to sell on Amazon, face-to-face with Jason Tay.
I constantly receive requests for training, but haven't had the time to do it... until now. My teenager is now in university, so she hangs out more with her friends than her cool parents 😂, but that also means I have the time to train others!
The training comprises a 3 half-day classes held in a small group, followed by 4 personal 1-to-1 consultations, and continued support through a dedicated, closed Facebook group and direct private messaging and email (which makes it an amazing value for course attendees since I charge companies $500 per consultation session). Consultations and support are with me personally, unlike many courses or "gurus" who outsource coaching and support to inexperienced 3rd parties.
This course is the result of the numerous training requests, as well as feedback from sellers who find themselves stuck. Some previously attended far more expensive courses and were burnt, but have found the low-risk approach I use has helped them turn their ship around.

Selling on Amazon is NOT for Everyone!
Selling on Amazon is not for the faint-hearted. It requires an investment of time, dedication and capital. This is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Sadly there are many "gurus" that invite people to free previews where they say selling on Amazon is easier than you think. In fact, it's actually harder than most people think. Anyone who tries to convince you how easy it is at a preview is probably out to scam you into paying for their course, which is usually extremely expensive, provides bad information, unusable strategies, and ends up costing people to lose thousands to tens of thousands of dollars.
If you want to sell on Amazon, you need to be willing and able to learn to research, analyze, understand, interpret and weigh lots of information. Some of the important skills you will need or be willing to learn include: search engine optimization (keyword research and analysis), how to analyze information such as demand (keyword search volume), supply (competition analysis), and thinking and acting as an entrepreneur/business owner.

Why choose this instead of some other "Courses":
Before you sign up for any online selling course, do your due diligence and research the course/trainer's reputation. Be careful to not waste your money on "trainers" who are only interested in getting your money. A bit of Googling can easily help you discern the good from the bad.
- I've had several people tell me they attended training by a local "guru" (let's call him A) who advertises alot on social media. The initial "training" is a free preview where where a $2,000+ course is pitched. During the $2,000 "course" he upsells other services which cost thousands more. One attendee spent thousands with A who "managed" her inventory, which ended up stuck in China for several months. She met me at a meetup I co-hosted with Amazon at their regional head office, I advised her for 5 minutes and spoke to her supplier in China for 1 minute on the phone. Less than 2 week later, on 8 Feb, she informs me that her shipment not only finally left China after being stuck with A for months, it made it to Amazon in the USA, and she made her first sale!
- I have been selling on Amazon since late 2013, starting with just SGD1,500 (about USD1,200 at the time) and hitting 6 figures in sales within the first year (you can refer to the posts in my blog section).
- Empowering others is one of my main motivations (I suppose that's why I became a teacher!). I'm interested in building for the long term - to see lives changed for the better and a thriving community of entrepreneurs in Singapore and beyond. That can only be achieved with honesty, integrity and serving others well. It would all come crashing down if I had an unsavoury reputation as a scammer/spammer!
- I don't believe in hype or overselling. Frankly, not everyone needs this training. I never had any live training or coaching. When I started, all I did was apply what I learnt online from the Proven Amazon Course and ask questions in its free Facebook support group. I suppose I am a more self-directed learner and someone who thrives on learning and trying new things. I've also been called a walking encyclopedia by friends! But I understand not everyone is the same, and learning from my experience can help jumpstart your own journey by lowering your risk by avoiding some mistakes and shortening your learning curve. As they say, time is money!
- Integrity. Amazon management recently called me to ask if I would consider providing Amazon consultancy services to Singapore businesses. They said that after checking the Amazon sellers and trainers in Singapore, I was the only one they wanted to work with. Amazon frankly said, "all the other trainers are dodgy" (dishonest or unreliable), which is why I am the only Singapore seller featured on Amazon's Success Stories series, and also invited as the guest expert to answer seller questions on Amazon's official webinar. As one of the pioneers from the ANZ/Southeast Asia region to successfully sell on Amazon USA, and because I work hard to uphold a rock-solid reputation based on honesty and integrity, I've been invited as a speaker on radio, CNBC, Global Sources, DHL, Amazon, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), etc.
Before you sign up for any online selling course, do your due diligence and research the course/trainer's reputation. Be careful to not waste your money on "trainers" who are only interested in getting your money. A bit of Googling can easily help you discern the good from the bad.

Do you have a free preview?
I don't have previews for several reasons. Here are 3 of them:
1) Keeping the course affordable. If I did free previews, I would have to rent a venue for the previews. That would lead to higher course fees.
2) I'm not trying to hard sell preview attendees an expensive multi-thousand dollar course. Most "gurus" who run free previews use it as bait to get people to attend so they can be "trapped" in an environment where the guru can emotionally pressure and make them feel like they will lose out if they don't sign up on the spot. They never state their course fees upfront because it is so expensive that hardly anybody will ever sign up. The free preview tactic enables them to trap people in a high pressure environment where they can hard-sell you to cough up thousands of dollars. I don't like to pressure people like that, and my course is much more affordable, so I don't need to bait people with a free preview in order to hard sell an expensive fee.
3) My website at www.jasontayonline.com is better than any free preview! I don't need to have free previews because the content I have been providing for free on my website and Facebook group speaks for itself. It provides far better proof than any free preview and more value than some paid courses! People who have read my blog and seen the FB discussions where I have shared, answered and helped others can easily see the value and experience I provide.

How big is the class size?
10 to 12 people is the maximum for the class. This small number is for better interaction and enables me to provide 1-to-1 support.

The training is a total of over 15 hours (4 hours x 3 days in a small group, followed by 3 hours over 4 x 45 minute 1-to-1 Zoom consultations, plus countless hours of answering questions in a closed Facebook group for attendees only, private messaging, and email.
As a point of comparison, 'O' and 'A' (high school) level tuition rates by a qualified teacher are $90 to $120 per hour. For 15 hours, that would total $1,350 to $1,800.
But I have chosen to make my training package affordable at only SGD1297 (~USD960), which is only SGD86 (~USD64) per hour! As a former teacher, I think it's extremely reasonable to charge these rates for something that is far more valuable than academic qualifications. What you will learn is definitely worth ALOT more! In fact, just the four 1-to-1 consultations are worth $1500, since I charge companies $500 per hour for consultation.
If the training helps you to create just 1 product listing that makes a profit of just USD7 per sale, and you sell just 5 units a day, that would result in USD1050 (approximately SGD1400) per month in profit, which would more than cover the course fees in just 1 month and continue to generate ongoing profit!
The power of the training is that you will be taught to fish. This means you will be equipped with the skills to identify and sell as many products as you are willing to put effort into. You start with 1, then rinse and repeat!
I believe this has the potential to be the best investment in education that those of you who take action will ever make. I always say the money I spent to learn how to sell on Amazon has had a far better ROI than the fees I paid for my Master's degree.
